Pininfarina styling, a 570 horsepower from a 4.5 liter V-12 powerplant and overall performance developed with the assistance of 7-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher, the new for 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia supercar prowess has led to many auto enthusiasts to identify the car as a hot set of wheels. Unfortunately, the terminology ‘hot wheels’ is taking a much more literal meaning for the 458 Italia after 5 reports of the ultra-expensive Ferrari getting engulfed by flames ..read more

For those living their lives serving the badge, the durable V-8 engine and the body-on-frame construction of the Ford Crown Victoria was a reliable workhouse in their duty for upholding the law. Understandably so popular, Ford kept the Crown Victoria in production largely on the orders from law enforcement agencies. As the long-respected Ford Crown Victoria is retired from police duty, the Ford Motor Company were quick to supply police departments with two, new potential recruits. Already showing off a purpose-built Interceptor sedan, ..read more

Nissan has been actively creating some strange interpretation in defining the modern crossover vehicle. However, with every crossover, Nissan demonstrates strangeness is not exactly a bad thing.

Started with the Nissan Murano arched look in 2003, the Japanese-based auto company followed this up in 2008 developing the equally as striking but smaller Rogue as an under $25,000 companion to the Murano. This year, Nissan brought the convenient compact Cube to the North American marketplace judged bold or bizarre depending on the ..read more

The Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is developing a new reverse mortgage product that sharply cuts up-front payments by home owners but also significantly reduces the percentage of a home’s equity that can be paid to owners under the program. Reverse mortgages insured by the government are available on homes where the youngest owner is at least 62 years old. The program is called a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM).

Many consumer advocates have been opposed to reverse mortgages, in part because ..read more

The August 15th edition of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance once again provided a vivid look into the prestige of past motoring. For those who could afford the $150 admission price to see the lavish one-day event in person, its fair to say that the present economics have been gentler on this audience than some Americans. Being so lucky to have a few dollars in pocket, there are a few of privileged individuals can afford to bring home a ..read more

The new Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) will be available on homes where the youngest owner is over 63 years old. The HFA has already approved the real ..read more

Subway (the sandwich shop) is giving away a bunch of copies of the game before it’s released to the general public, and you don’t even have to sell your soul to win one. Starting next ..read more

Toyota just issued another recall today, this time it’s for the 2005-2008 model year Corolla and its hatchback sibling, the Matrix. The problem? A faulty engine control module that was poorly manufactured. Turns out that cracks can form at certain solder points, causing the car’s check engine light to come on, shift harshly, or worse case, the car might shut off entirely, even while driving.

To give Toyota credit, this is all part of their latest effort to be more ..read more

When German auto company Mercedes-Benz released the CLS-Class in the 2006 model year, it was still a rather new phenomenon to think of a coupe as having four-doors. Though Mercedes-Benz wasn’t the first company to explore the four-door coupe categorization (playing on the theme, Maserati’s Quattroporte predates the CLS-Class in pioneering this performance luxury premise), the body style has grown incredibly popular amongst the European automotive sect. With BMW just recently bracing observers for a production version of their ..read more
